Ms. Hahn's Class

Our class has been growing various plants from seeds for the past 3 years.  We begin in the classroom with planting seeds such as tomatoes, green beans, green peppers, marigolds, zinnias, sunflowers, pansies, and many other types of vegetables & flowers.  We  tend to the seedlings in the classroom kept under our greenhouse lights. Once they have grown a little we separate and repot them to be moved to the school greenhouse.  While they are in the greenhouse, we care for the plants daily with watering and fertilizing them.  When the plants are ready they are sent home with the students, faculty and others.  The pictures depict all of our work with the last one showing the fruits of our labor.  This has been a favorite learning experience in our classroom for 3 years.

Lee Anne Hahn received a MAC grant from McDonald's for her students to make fleece blankets for themselves and one to donate to the Kid's First Auction. Each child chose their own fleece and then once they were cut out and ready the students had the task of tying all of the ends, this was a great fine motor activity and what a wonderful product when finished.

Thanks MAC for your support!!
